MESSUI is a dead-end technology; it's actively disapproved of by the devs and will likely die when we start integrating the Qt sidepanel. Other frontends offer much greater flexibility with images (and everything else, really).

On a somewhat related note, crazyc, have you taken a look at Filetto in MAME at all? It's on 8088 PC-based hardware and was working before so the problem is probably something simple.

1024 cylinders, 16 heads and 63 sectors. When using dos and a 486 BIOS, don't expect anything larger to work.

while I'd be interested to fix this bug if it is indeed softlist related, it's important to stress that DIM format is NOT SUPPORTED by the driver at the moment it needs to be modernized, but it has not been yet

It's fake in that the machine isn't actually in the bank they walk into, but it is running on a real ATM (the programmers work for the company that makes them).
