did a quick test with kikaoh & tekken 2 they seem to work but u need to rename some to match the new cfg names (ex. for tekken2 ver b jap tk2b.cfg -> tekken2a.cfg). didn't test any others but u can create them quite easily either using latest mame or comparing cfg files for diffrences. all new games will have this needed in order to get the new characters, with old roms a rename of the cfg to the new correct cfg filename when needed should be enough.

I might do cfg's as well, but i don't like having to figure out which game has secret chars and how many. perhaps i should get an updated mameinfo.dat hehe.

about the trainer, i did a very quick check yesterday and got some of the older cheats to work again however i'm going to change the game detection first so that it can detect all the games, then i'll start converting cheats from the previous zinc(/trainer) and then start with cheats for the newer games (which i'll have to make from scratch). Before even releasing anything many testing will be done cause i don't like to release buggy soft! . All of this takes time, i'm working nowadays and time is an issue plus it's much work and don't wanna spend all my free time on it, i'll probably work on it on weekends or when i'm not partying or sumthing smile

qucik question about ZiNc gui, where do I put the chd's so they can be read by the emulator? Do I compress for example, weddingr.zip and have weddingr.chd seperately? or all in what folder? what? cause ZiNc gui keeps saying the chd for the chd games are missing and they aren't

ZiNc supports the same chd options as MAME:

romsdirectory/weddingr.chd works, as does
romsdirectory/weddingr/weddingr.chd

yeah I know, thanks

it's just that I felt like using ZiNc gui to save me time from running the command line version is all.

It's just that I have the chd's and all, but for some reason ZiNc gui doesn't find them

would it be against the rules to ask for the crc for each of the crc's?

ZiNc does not CRC check the CHDs at this time, so that question is irrelevant. However, working discs will have the same specs as those enforced by MAME 0.88.

yup it is i think, one that can be bypassed, check the dats of the tekken, tekken2, soul edge and dunk mania games. do a compare with list--games or list-sets u'll notice that inside those dats the parent= info is blank and it isnt't in --list-games / list-sets. probably a parsing bug so just add those parents manually for the time being and press rescan roms and they should all appear ok, also check with clrmame if u got time to be sure. can't test chd's as i don't have those either but u can check it using the dats & list-sets /games info to see if something is missing inside the dats
