It's been about a year since I asked this question, and though I don't expect a different answer, I'm at a point in my project where I could use some clarification...
If I remember/understand correctly, multiple mouse/trackball devices are handled in Windows MAME as separate devices (Mouse 1, Mouse 2, and so on), while there is no provision for this in what may still be referred to as SDLMAME.
Does MAME handle this, or Windows directly?
I seem to recall some talk of looking into a way around this (or perhaps that multi-trackball support may still be added to SDL at some point in the future). Is this still the case, or should I lower my hopes of being able to someday enjoy a two player game of Marble Madness on my Mac?
Also, are there other games that would take advantage of a second trackball (or spinner, for that matter)?
