Choplifter from 1982, it's an Apple II game developed by Dan Gorlin and published by Brøderbund.
I think that a lot of the early versions looks like they took place on the moon, thanks to the black baground.
I grew up with sega's arcade version, so that is "choplifter" for me. wink

TC Choplifter on Win3.x, I couldn't find it.
Choplifter 3 on sms, It's named Choplifter 3 but the gameplay is the same as Choplifter

For the old Atari computers there are three different versions - the old cartridge release looks like the A5200 port, but the disk version has different artifact colors. The later XEGS cartridge port ditches those and is more colorful.

Reuental, thanks I didn't know that there where 3 diffrent versions of choplifter for the old Atari computers.
I did try the XEGS one today in mame, and it's very glitchy and chrashes after a minute.
But yes it's way more colorful, I think that it looks more like SEGA's acade version then the original. smile

Anna thanks for the FM-7 screenshot.
Dawn patrol looks very similar to choplifter, but I ment this Choplifter.
I havn't been able to find it, and besides I don't know how to operate a PC-6001. wink

This is the first Uncharted Waters (Daikoukai Jidai), one of the series Koei started before the great Musou/Warriors craze.

Unfortunately, I have only "Lode Runner" from System Soft.
