I've updated my QMC2 to the latest version and it seems that the FULl SCREEN controls for brightness, contrast and gamma are no longer working. No matter which values I set for them, they do not change the screen in any way. These controls were working before, but I don't know if it is a regression in the latest version or if was happening in the previous version as well since I do not update QMC everytime.

The in-game screen brightness, contrast and gamma controls are working fine. But I need the full screen options as well to match the backlight of the game screen with the TV screen.

This definitely still works fine here on Linux (with QMC2 0.187 and MAME 0.187), I just tried it with galaga ("mame64 ... -nowindow -brightness 1.1 ... galaga"). It might be Windows-specific (assuming you're on Windows), but I doubt that it's a QMC2 issue.

Also, remember that emulator configuration settings need to be "saved" / "applied" before they are actively used. Just changing a value doesn't save the setting. Either click the "save" button in the "Actions" column (the tool-tip says "Store value"), or in case of the global emulator configuration you can also click "Apply" (or "Ok") to save the settings.

Yes, I'm using the Windows version and yes, I'm positively sure it is not working. I set values up to 1.8 for both brightness and gamma and it absolutely has no effect whatsoever on screen. And yes, I click on the save button every time I change such values.

As I said, the game screen settings works, when I set them high, I can clearly see the difference on screen. Which does not happen with full screen controls.

Tested it in two different Windows machines with the exact same results. Please take a look.

OK. But what makes you think that it's QMC2 which is causing it? I mean, does it work correctly when you start the emulator from command line? You should use the exact same settings that QMC2 uses to verify it (see the command line in the front-end log).

Tested it from commandline and it does not work. So I suppose that these funcions are not working in the Windows version of MAME instead of QMC. I will report it on the MAME Testers forum. Thanks for your help! smile
