Using v .186, I noticed a different behavior with TI-99/4A emulation.
Previously, when you'd select a disk controller card in the peripheral expansion box, you'd get further drop-downs to define the drives attached to the controller. Those drop-downs no longer appear, meaning you can't select drives, which means you can't use disk images.

The reason that no disk drives appear is that there is no controller that allows for connecting disk drives. Since 0.186, the peripheral expansion box (PEB) has to be explicitly plugged into the I/O port. When this is done, MAME offers its slots for connecting peripheral cards, one of them possibly hosting a disk controller.

As it seems, QMC does not update the slot list when a slot option has been set, which is essential at this point. When ioport is set to peb, it should automatically offer the seven slots "ioport:peb:slot2" to "ioport:peb:slot8". Once a slot has been set to a controller card, the disk drive options will reappear.

Well, that's a known issue. It's because of the changes in -listxml since 0.186... as I've written earlier, I'll update the "device configurator" as soon as I have the time to do it.

OK, I'll be patient. smile Just to confirm, though, that means the only way to use a disk image at present is from the command line, right?

Using software-lists should work fine. Otherwise, yes.
