A new problem has appeared for me with Mame 0.195. Revolution X is showing both the Mame crosshairs and the in game crosshairs. I checked Terminator 2, but that doesn't seem to be having the same problem. I've tried changing the crosshair setting from auto to off, but the crosshairs still stay on. I haven't touched any of these settings before and I only had the in game ones. Is this a known issue or a new bug?

They were added per request: http://mametesters.org/view.php?id=6866
For me in Windows, using 0.195 binary, I was able to shut off the MAME produced crosshairs via TAB -> Crosshair Options and shutting off all 3. The game still has the in-game drawn crosshair which cannot be taken out. I personally think they are best left unadded and kept out like Terminator 2 and Rev X has always been

I think that request was stupid; the correct change should've been to remove the unnecessary crosshairs from the other games.

I'm not disagreeing with you on that. The calibration is easily done with values (left/up and down/right) for each player. If the game had deemed it needed to provide a crosshair, I would think it would have especially during calibration, ya think?

Thanks for the reply and the info. I agree, it just doesn't look right having 2 different crosshairs on by default. I can confirm that setting all 3 players to off for crosshair options does turn them off for me as well.
