Some problems with mameworld.info at this time, I'll fix up the blog when I can access it again. Anyway:

Download all versions here (mameworld.info's back up).

This is not yet the new foundation, but it does have a few things new:

* Better RF5c400 emulation for Konami 3D games
* For the first time EVER in an emulator, correct BSMT2000 emulation! Including the ADPCM! Thanks to special guest programmer Aaron Giles.
* Dozens of new games added, especially on the pinball side

Sorry, no new drivers. I am not investing any more major work into this codebase right now.

Awesome!
Installing.

One thing I'd like to mention, regarding the .xml file. If you open it in say.. notepad to edit it, you do not get proper linefeeds. What I do to correct it is load it up in EDIT.COM then save.. and the proper linefeeds show. I guess notepad requires the chr(13)+chr(10) line endings.

Yeah, most editors don't care anymore but notepad's a bit strict.

The new RF5c400 is superb smile

Also, not your fault, but Black Knight 2000 was left out; (credit Tafoid)

Code:
	<game name="bk2k_l4" board="Williams Y-Unit CVSD">
		<description>(WIP) Black Knight 2000 (L4) (pinball) (NEEDS SOURCE WORK)</description>
		<year>1989</year>
		<manufacturer>Williams</manufacturer>
		<m1data default="1" stop="0" min="1" max="255" subtype="1"/>

		</region>
	</game>

It's fine apart from not having the speech, but it sounds pretty cool without it actually, like an instrumental smile

Yeah, Gradius IV finally sounds musical on this rev (ditto the other RF5c400 games). Big props to the hoot guys smile

And I knew I'd miss something going through that Thread of Doom pulling out list submissions - if that's the only one I'll be amazed.

PS: for a good time, m1 gradius4 7

Well, this one was in another thread wink (the "fave not in m1" thread) so I'm not surprised you missed it smile

Lost in the Zone
I've tested Guns 'N Roses (as well as Star Wars) and indeed, the BSMT emulation has improved, as I can hear the lyrics to Paradise City.

Of course the games that are still broken (or partly working) include Batman, Frankenstein, and the Stern-era pins (starting with South Park), which work under the most recent PinMAME (despite the fact that it uses MAME 0.76 as its base). Of course, that'll take some time to fix, so I'll keep my mouth shut.

Well, as far as BK2K, I wasn't going to add it to the M1 list because I KNEW there were missing processors and thus, missing proper emulation. Most all of the newer pins added recently are in the same boat, doing a lot but not everything they are supposed to.

If Arbee doesn't mind the added XML bloat until the new framework is done and drivers can be added, that's fine laugh
