Is there any testing going on for the display style? There were two different monitors available and there isn't anything in the docs I can see that tells you which one is connected. I've not ever seen the portrait mode one, must have not been very common

Yes -- I think it's the code at FC711h. Port E010 looks like status/ID register, bit 0 == regular card; bit 6 == 66-line one.

Thanks to nigwil@vcfed (hands-on tests -- I don't have the hardware), here's some progress (key tests are still failing -- this screenshot required a debugger hack to ignore these failures).

This is supposed to be an IBM logo; we don't know yet how the pseudo-graphics mode works.

And now, something completely different

via http://www.hermannseib.com/english/synths/ppg/waveterm.htm

The Waveterm A is based on a 6809 processor board called Eurocom II V7, made by the German company ELTEC. Together with a keyboard and the correct software, it can be used as a normal computer system running the FLEX 9 operating system.

The Waveterm B is completely PPG-designed. It is based on a 68000 processor, but additionally has a 6809 processor on board to provide backwards compatibility. The Waveterm B has much more memory and a 16-bit A/D-converter

NEC PC-100 driver
Unfortunately, bootable floppy disks on MAME/MESS are not working.
It is very difficult to get software for this system.

I'm fairly sure we've never had a working floppy image for that machine so it's not really surprising that when one appears it doesn't work (the driver doesn't appear to have the floppy motor control connected).

It's alive smile

Can't play waves yet, need to figure out how DAC (a Ferranti ZN432) is hooked up.
