ermmm, so it had the built in interrupt controller and i/o but also provided PC compatible interrupt and I/O?

Nope, just a PC compatible BIOS interface which is all you need to run PC DOS and other programs which only use the DOS and BIOS APIs, which is a rather small number actually.

I am not sure, is the PCG700 (Programmable Character Generator) working with the mz700/mz700j driver?

Doesn't look like it's working, if you look at the items (computer, TV set, doors, safe) they're all garbled...

Yeah, the expansion just changes the character font from ROM to RAM, as most people can probably guess from the screens smile

Correct timings do lots, lots, and lots of good. Some things are still glitched, but things like this cart now work with the proper set.
