I guess this the most closely related forum to ask about this. Besides, Paratech's $98 laptop is getting old.

pSX Author once said somewhere that a friend of his was working on a Mac port (or wanted to work on one) of pSX.

Is that still happening? I know some of MAMEDev has collaborated with pSX Author in the past so I thought maybe you might know a little something..just to feed the rumor mill.

pSX runs remarkably well on XP via Parallels on my Mac though, which is pretty amazing.

Given there's a working Linux version with very nice OpenGL rendering I would assume OS X is a chip shot. I don't know anything specific about any pSX port though though.

alright then. I guess it takes someone who really wants to do it. They would have to track down pSXAuthor and beat his door down and then get him to trust them with the source code first. Probably not happening!

Wow, that would be awesome. There hasn't been a good PlayStation emulator for the Mac since VGS.

Yep, because it was the only working emulator for OS X smile
But it was slow and compatibility wasn't that good.

I had no idea pSX author was collaborating with some mamedev, can you give more details about this collaboration? is it for the benefit of pSX, or MAME or both?

Both. And that's all the detail you're getting.
