There are problems with Coco and slot/multipak emulation.
Clean build, SVN 12145

If emulation is started with the command line
mess coco3h (or any other coco)
then when the ini file contains
ext fdcv11
emulation runs correctly and disk I/O works. If an alternative disk ROM is mounted in the ini cartridge entry, disk I/O is still correct. The cartridge change can be made either to the ini file directly or using either old or newui menus during emulation. So far so good.

However, if the ini file contains
ext multi
then command line start of MESS always display Extended Color Basic and there is no disk I/O. Attempts to mount a ROM from the newui menu crash MESS. The newui menu displays 5 slots rather than the correct 4. None are numbered. The old menu displays
ext multi
ext:slot1
ext:slot2
ext:slot3
ext:slot4
correctly but it is not possible to mount anything in slots 1-4. It is possible to change ext to fdcv11 and get disk I/O.

Things are worse if messui.exe is used. Regardless of the ini file (regarding ext), Device View always displays Coco Cartridge Slot. Regardless whether any ROM is mounted in the cart slot, emulation always starts with Extended Color Basic.
If any attempt is made to change the contents of Device View, the ini file gets trashed.

PS. I forgot to mention that both mess.exe via the ui menu and messui.exe have problems with the characters used in the default slot display. This is the same type of problem reported months ago for wimgtool.exe.

There has been a recent failure of the Coco bitbanger port. The Coco software uses a timing constant to match baud rates.

Currently with any Coco emulation set to 1MHz, the baud constant is ignored and anything sent through the serial port to the "printer" gets printed.
With the Coco set to 2MHz, the baud constant is ignored and nothing gets printed.

Clearly the code has been broken.

2 atvga/at driver errors I recently encountered:

1) seems floppy disk changes doesn't get recognized in the atvga driver

2) On the AT driver Both M$ Mouse (6.1) and Cutemouse doesn't find an attached mouse, Same with the ATVGA driver. the Mouse is activated in the ini

.ssd issue is not so new. It's related to change when size is checked for basicdsk images, and issue with ssd files is that in most cases are cut, and they do not have "empty" tracks in them.
