I have several questions about Hoot...

1. I think it might support SCSP games. But does it support all of the SCSP games dumped for MAME?

2. How do I load the game? Do I have to use a certain folder? Explain if this is a legal question.

I believe I'm using the latest version (May 2011).

... you could try asking Hoot? In case you haven't noticed, this isn't Hoot's support forums (if they even have any)

So far I know, Hoot is reading/loading the predefined xml databases which exist in your xml folder.
The different sound files should exist as subfolder in your Hoot folder like
Hoot/PC
Hoot/X1
Hoot/PC88VA
...

After that you can choose the sound from the playlist.

PS: I never tried Saturn sound files on this player. For this I use the KBMedia Player.

I know, but there was a thread here that talked about Hoot.

What I've so far done:

- Copied XML files to nearly every folder.

- Downloaded a ROM of Sonic the Fighters, and dragged on to the exe. This was a stupid thing for me to do, I guess.

I canīt test the latest version (May 2011). Because this version has some compatibility issues. It is simply not running on my WinXP 32-bit OS.
I guess dmpsoft changed the compiling enviroment because the new binary has a much smaller size.
I still use hoot20101231
