Yes, you may change cards from the command line and you may override the default (which is slot 9).

This comment from earlier covers basic command line usage of the slots. There are more cards now (I think 'mess -listslots maciix' will show the possible cards).

All of the working cards are video cards; there is work in progress on an Ethernet card but it's not working yet. You may have up to 4 video cards active at a time right now due to core limitations, or on the IIci you can have built-in video plus 3 video cards. On Windows you can map the multiple video cards to multiple physical monitors; on SDL you can have them tiled 4-across or 2x2 by pressing Tab and going into Video Options.

Great, it's exactly what I needed.
arranging a 4-head desktop in 2x2 is almost like having an ultra-hi resolution screen (by 1989 standards smile )

Thanks Arbee smile

BTW, we now have a list of known cards including dump status so people who wish to help us with dumps of declaration ROMs can do so. (The list is nowhere near complete, obviously, I'll be doing more typing later).

Reach out and touch someone?

How about a Bitsavers mirror?

Does that mean you have some form of NIC or modem emulated?

A very nice list, Arbee. smile
Maybe we can add the Radius Rocket 25i card too?
Do you remember? ; )

Yes. Contrary to the pessimistic comment on #13177 the Asante card is actually working as checked in, at least with OpenTransport. The backend for Ethernet emulation only works on Linux and only if you build with USE_NETWORK=1 right now; Windows will get enabled after 0.144 final. OS X has no solution yet but since it comes with libpcap in the box and the Windows backend uses it that's what will probably get used.

And of course Carl should get most of the credit here: he made the Windows and Linux backends and wrote the NatSemi DP839xx emulation. I just figured out the (weird) way it was hooked up on that NuBus card.

I guess with MC3B you mean MC3NB (NB for Nubus), right? Maybe we should clarify the naming to avoid confusion in the future? Definitely not wanting to be picky.
