0139u3 compiles & runs fine on Debian Lenny with GCC 4.2.4 - thanx for the update (which took a little longer this turn) wink

Fair warning: u3 may be problematic on things that aren't Linux or OS X, but we'll get it sorted as soon as possible. (u3 does work on PowerPC OS X again, for those who missed that).

Just compiled & tested 0140 with GCC 4.2.4 under Debian Lenny without problems. Thanx for another stable release!

0140u2... I had to study the change log to recognize that SDL-ttf is needed now. After installing these packages, compilation works again. wink Also, the new uifont-feature works great.
Although, I spotted some kind of strange behaviour: After starting mame and entering GUI, the line where you can enter the game title isn't set to random by default anymore. The word 'empty' is written instead and you'll have to delete it or just press Esc to return to random mode (shouldn't Esc quit mame?)
Another one: When leaving mame it often ends up with a black screen and pressing Esc once again finally quits the program and switches back to OS.

The game title thing is probably also in baseline, or at least I don't know why it'd be SDL specific smile

Also a reminder that you can style the uifont by appending [b] (bold), [i] (italic), [u] (underline), or [s] (strikethrough) to the font's family name or pathname.

And yes, it does attempt to find a version of the font that's pre-styled the way you want, so e.g. "Liberation Sans[b][i]" would give you Liberation Sans Bold Italic (assuming it's installed) rather than loading the base font and styling it algorithmically.
