rfka01 is right about the hyper-slanted version - that makes it exactly the same font and everything as You Know What.

Actually it's not, thank goodness, but it's too close for comfort for me. I wouldn't like to give somebody ideas or prevent people from using the emulator.

Merge MAME and MESS, take the logo from UME, drop the U and call it MultiEmulator or Machine Emulation.

There, done. Nice logo and cool name.

Or Machina Emulation. Even cooler

Carbon: I do like that idea.

For people only interested in MESS, I don't think this is a nice solution. Keep the 3 targets, at least for now, please!

Oh, yeah, I missed that part because I like the "ME" logo so much. We are not eliminating MAME and MESS as separate emulators any time soon.

Fast draft without wave pattern

I like the idea of merging the two colors on the M... the second version looks nicer to me. If the 'U' had the lower-left corner slanted (\) as in JacKc's initial version, I think it would look even better.

EDIT: How would a linear gradient from orange to blue look like on the M? The current cut is hard .

The first one use on the first part of the U the same thickness like the other letters.
To use the thickness for the complete part is too much.
The second one use a thinner part compared to the other letters.

Really needs stonefruit!
