ssj- The fellow sending them is scanning all the cases and he's going to send those to me at some point. I'll need some place to upload them. Or better yet, I could mail an SD card with them to someone with better internet access....
I scanned the cases of the games that I did before he started sending them. I can get those to anyone who's interested.
Stiletto- looking at pics of MM, it's got a different LCD panel than anything I've done before, so it might not match any of the PCBs I've already made up. Hopefully it does have a Sharp SM5; I've deglobbed several OKI dies that I haven't found any info about.
I deglobbed Judge Dredd, Swamp Thing, The Shadow and Robin Hood and they are all SM510s. Baseball has a different LCD panel and it looks like it's probably an SM512.
I probably need help cleaning up the LCD pics. Along with miscellaneous dust specks, most of the panels have lots of "dead crystals" which show up as the opposite color. It's easy but tedious to clean them up unless they cross a segment; then it's a pain. I would upload jpegs of the panels if someone could clean them up and run potrace on them to make SVGs. Then I'd take the SVGs and ID the segments.
Here's an example zoomed in. Using potrace on this without first cleaning it up would leave a bunch of holes in the object and some of the darker specks would get vectorized. The left side of the cone would get a couple of spurs. I find it a lot easier to clean the raster up before using potrace than editing the vector after. I use GIMP and a small pencil brush in black or white to go over the spots. But there are hundreds of spots to fix per panel, and it takes me a couple of hours to clean up each one.
