NEW TAPES/GAMES/UPDATES (April 15, 2012)

* Applesoft Lite - is a modified version of Applesoft BASIC from the Apple II. This tape will add more functionality and versatility to the Apple-1. Simply put, games that were once thought of as impossible to play on the Apple-1 might be possible. Adventure Caves is from an early Apple ][ game! (Applesoft Lite requires special load instructions available in the zip)

* Text Games for Applesoft Lite - is a small handful of text programs I carefully put together to be used exclusively for Applesoft Lite BASIC. They can easily be pasted directly into the MESS Apple-1 "Applesoft Lite BASIC" monitor.

* ELIZA - is a computer program and an early example of primitive natural language processing. ELIZA operated by processing users' responses to scripts. Joseph Weizenbaum wrote ELIZA at MIT between 1964 and 1966.

* TREK II - adapted from "101 Basic Computer Games" by wsander. This was adapted to the Apple II and became the Apple Trek game shipped with early Apple II Computers.

Etabeta will you please add these Apple-1 tapes to the softlist?

You're welcome. smile

I know this stuff is ancient. I also know the Apple-1 is arcane by modern standards, but it's a piece of history I believe should be preserved.
