... not feeling perfect, but WTF smile.

I'm just resuming my work and converting it to "MAME latest", which may take a while. Also, the next version of QMC2 will only support Qt 5, so there's a bit of work, too. Anyway, just wanted to say "I'm back".

I will not read all the private messages, so forgive me, if it's important.

And last but not least, who said there will be no more QMC2? No one. I just needed the time to recover from my stroke(s). If you know what that means you'll be with me wink.

Stay tuned!

Hey René, welcome back!!!!

QMC2 has been patched to work with the latest MAME already, but of course no feature tracking has happened in your absence.

Welcome back, René! smile

Thanks!

Grrr, I found out that you need at least Qt 5.11 (I have Qt 5.9 currently, openSUSE Leap 15.1) for the "full functionality" of QMC2, although it also runs with older versions. I hate that but I can't change it...

Rene, please give any tutorial how compile new qmc2 (QT5.11) with the latest mame dev tool. Many tnx smile

Well, basically the same way as before (with Qt 5 under Linux), and it works, but I still have a number of things to work on... the options templates need an update and I'm not clear yet how to deal with minizip and so on. I'll let you know when it's time to test!

Welcome back, Rene, so nice to see you here once again. Thank you as always for the best MAME frontend by a mile that I use heavily every day. Can you really improve on perfection? I don't know, but I'm looking forward to seeing your updates either way. smile
Posted By: qmc2 Re: Hey, hey - here I am... - 02/03/20 05:12 PM
Improve on perfection... probably not when it comes to performance / speed (about 1.1 seconds now), but I can do things better - always smile. There's one way already in WIP=1 builds, though that isn't working (fully) yet. Also, I must implement a way for emulator embedding on Qt 5 (currently disabled) but it's supposed to work on every platform. Well, let's see. Later.

Hope RL and recovery is going well. I just got finished dealing with things myself that kept me away for years.

I'm excited to use QMC2 again when you can return to us here in the online realm smile
