Hi there smile

I was working on an universial binary version of MacMame and made some progress.
Currently I'm stuck on two libs:

- libWaste
An UniBin version exists (ver 3.x) but I can't find a static lib to replace the ppc version

- libmacblitters
Where to hell does this lib come from? I can't find any usefull reference with google frown

If anyone could supply some information here I would be grateful smile

libmacblitters is compiled from assembly-language source.

Which assembly language source?

Found this http://www.bannister.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=7;t=002362;p=2#000037
Is that what you mean?

In the MacMAME source, there's a file called macintosh/Source/macblitters.S which is compiled into libmacblitters.a - a Universal version would require a port to C or x86 assembly.

I was able to get lib waste to play nicely after downloading the v3, placing the framework into the project, linking it into the project and then removing the libwaste.a file from the project. Perhaps we can share ideas on how to get libmacblitters? Also, if you hadn't already found it, i found hid utils here: http://developer.apple.com/samplecode/HID_Utilities_Source/index.html

You could just contribute an improved GUI to MAME OS X - it would be a far better use of your time than exhuming MacMAME.

I wonder how difficult it would be to extract the MacMAME interface and paste it onto MAME OS X

MacMAME is Carbon and MAME OS X is Cocoa, so not easy.
