My current MacMame setup does not save the joystick (X-Arcade) or keyboard configuration between games (i.e. for each new game, I have to reassign the keys). Anybody else have this problem? I'm using Tiger on a iMac G5 2Ghz, MacMame v0.103u2.

Thanks for any info..

might be because you updated macmame and kept the old config files (afaik the conf file format changed and is incompatible with earlier files) so it will forget your settings.

you can delete your config files and do the settings again. that should help.

though a far better solution in my opinion is to leave the settings files as they are and just use something like game companion or usb overdrive to map controller buttons to keyboard keys. that solves many problems with joypad support.

i guess im not the only one who does it this way
