Here's a suggestion for AO: A Foobar2000 plugin! Also, does AO use bandlimited synthesis for all its formats or just a select few?

Yeah, because Foobar works great on Linux and the Mac :p

Several of the sound engines used by AO already have Foobar2000 plug-ins. Is there an up-to-date list of the sound engines AO uses?

As for bandlimiting, it really only applies to the older systems, and if you can't tell by ear whether it's bandlimited, then what does it matter?

I think he was actually asking what specific engines we use per format. I'm not sure I could even name them without a major expedition through the code

Ah right. If blargg wrote an engine for a format, we use it. Otherwise, we use MAME(TM) sound cores.
