Hi guys I did not mind using Fedora 5,but now using Gentoo.
Just wondering if anyone has any experiance with it?

I'm just wondering how would I install this new version on Gentoo

I tried a previous version 0.112 but got not where.

SDLMAME I've been unable to get this installed, I have read a few forum msg and still no luck. I've been to this site and downloaded the ebuild http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145023.

But when I run the emerge ebuild it says mantiage file missing or something, can someone please help me get one of these mame's to work.

Sorry for going on so much guys, but it's quite frustrating I love mame so much, I'd just love to play it on the ps3.

Running following:

PS3 Gentoo installed
Using KDE 3.5 Windows in 720P

Confirmed - the 3D is extremely messed up on my Intel Mac. Seems to be an Apple gcc bug (GCC on Linux and MinGW are both fine).

Thanks. I guess we could try removing some of the -O options, or just wait for leopard...

Well, it was a bit of a PITA but I bootstrapped GCC 4.12 on my Intel iMac and recompiled sdlmame0114. Virtua Racing runs just fine!

If anyone wants to host the binary, it's an 8.8MB .bz2 file.

Thanks

Well, I'll post it at Mac.com until my bandwidth quota is exceeded (not sure what that limit is, but this one small file shouldn't present any problems).

It's a Mac OSX Intel binary, compiled with p4=1 set (seems to compile slightly smaller than pm=1).

sdlmame_0114_osx_intel_gcc412.dmg.gz <-- Updated link to file locked safely in a disk image to preserve execute bits.

Is this file supposed to take the place of mamepm? I don't really know what to do with it; it opens up the terminal when I double click it. And when I open MacMAMEInfoX and select this document as my SDLMAME location and try to start a game, it gives me "SDLMAME cannot be launched from the location é─˙/Applications/SDLMAME 0.114/sdlmame0114_gcc412_osx_intelé─¨. Please select the correct location in the General section of the SDLMAME options sheet."

Boris;

I updated the link in my original post above to point to the corrected file. Sorry for any inconvenience.

And, yes, the file (now renamed 'mamep4') takes the place of mamepm.

[Now I remember why I don't do this...only one downloader and I'm stressed out already smirk ]
