EmuLaunch looks nice, I've added it to the links on the SDLMAME homepage.

Since I done good, can you tell me why Vivid Dolls works for me with MameFX32 in Windows but not SDLMame in Linux (same rom set)?
laugh <-- awfully big cheesy grin

When I was looking for FE's when I first started using SDLMame I came across a MAC FE all the time, and now I can't find it again. I'll keep-a-lookin' though.

I am looking for a good MAME/MESS front end for an arcade machine project using some old Mac laptops I've got floating around. EmuLaunch is really nice, but extremely slow on older hardware and no filters. WahCade seems to be the front end that comes closest to what I want (joystick-controlled, filters) and I've gotten it compiled for OS X after sacrificing many chickens. I even took a look at trying to make a .app out of it, but quickly realized I just don't have the programming chops to make that happen. No idea how to get it to create regular OS X windows instead of requiring X11. I'm willing to donate beer/money if there's anyone out there willing to simplify the process.

Thanks for the reminder, I added MacMAMEInfoX to the homepage.

One of these months :), there will be a very lightweight (mame only) frontend on these pages, http://kirurg.org/emame

It is written in C and the only depdencies are SDL and sqlite3.

I'm still hoping that EmuLaunch will have native support for MAMEWah templates one of these days smile Meanwhile, I've got to get to work converting some of my favourite MAMEWah templates so they'll work/look right on EmuLaunch (which is definitely my launcher of choice for SDLMAME).

However, I'd really like to see an EmuLaunch-like replacement for MacSDLMESS....
