Are we ready to make GLSL the default for OpenGL ?

Well, I found that GLSL is faster in most (if not all) cases.

The latest bilinear rendering bug (Nvidia, pooyan-window or
lbgrande fullscreen) is related to the NVidia driver,
i.e. it does not show up with the ATI driver.
Well .. it's a minor thing.

Regarding the multipass update Ihave promised,
well I will do, if there is more time.

BTW.. maximize windowed mode seems not to work .. ?

GLSL causes trouble on Intel GMA950. I prefer to use regular OpenGL mode.

I see. I believe the open source intel driver is very young,
hence it ain't stable yet for GLSL ?

Well, I cannot test it here no intel gfx chip,
but if you believe this is a problem with our GLSL usage,
any help would be appreciated.

@ others: what do you think ? your experiences ?

It's not an open source driver problem - I'm using the Intel/Apple driver. The card just isn't up to running it.

There are a lot of older cards that can't do GLSL. I guess they could use XV though.

I don't think GLSL as the default is a good idea for at least another year.

Sounds reasonable, right.

Well, the good thing is, we can support GLES 2.0 with GLSL now,
for the upcoming mobile device generation ;-)

Fair enough. Have you reported the Nvidia problems you mentioned to Nvidia? They've been spitting out a lot of drivers lately (there's a beta I just installed with several bug fixes, for instance), so I'm sure they wouldn't mind more to do ;-)
