Get it here.

The only core change this time is the experimental GEMS driver. A few words of caution:

1) There is verbose debug output from the driver. You'll recognize it as similar to what the gems.exe utility printed.
2) The "stop" command is always 0. If you set it to something else, your computer may explode.
3) The region size must always be 4 MB or larger. The driver will crash if you make it smaller.
4) Not all GEMS games work, but most should.
5) The sound balance isn't where I want it yet - I basically turned stuff down until it stopped clipping, but there's more adjustment to be done.

That all out of the way, have fun and post your .xml additions here.

GEMS games that definitely will not work include: Ariel: The Little Mermaid, Battletech, B.O.B, Batman Returns, Bonkers, Chakan: The Forever Man, Cliffhanger, Dinosaurs for Hire, ESPN SpeedWorld, Eternal Champions, Evander Holyfield's Real Deal Boxing, Ex-Mutants, Fun-n-Games, Garfield: Caught in the Act, Greatest Heavyweights of the Ring, Greendog: The Beached Surfer Dude, Head-On Soccer, Home Alone, Home Alone 2, Kid Chameleon, NBA Action, NBA Hangtime, Pink Goes To Hollywood, Pinocchio, Pirates! Gold, Shanghai 2: Dragon's Eye, Tale Spin, Taz-Mania, Taz in Escape From Mars, Vectorman, Vectorman 2, Virtual Pinball, Wacky Worlds, WWF Wrestlemania Arcade, X-Men 2: Clone Wars, Young Indiana Jones, and all 32X games that use GEMS.

Most games not on that list which use GEMS are expected to work, but some may not. Please report them here and we'll get them tackled the hard way ;-)

I'll get a fresh start on this in the morning. I've gotten the basic profiles ready to test. Appreciate your work, as always smile

Interesting. Incidentally, there's a new M1 list pack over at Fujix's place.

Anyway... Thank you! grin

Games with relatively simple code can be handled by the automation. The rest will require Hoot-style <driverparams gemsinit="2d800" gemsstartsong="2d854" gemsstopsong="2d868" data1="10000" data2="10800" /> tags (not supported yet).

These are the hazemd bin files I have...

g_abea
g_casv
g_cill
g_col00
g_crkd
g_etch
g_fant
g_gaia
g_gax2
g_marv
g_ranx
g_shar
g_shi3
g_sho
g_sks3
g_son2
g_stri
g_swve

2 were already mentioned as not working so I left those out. Chakan and Kid Chameleon. Unless (and I'm betting) I'm missing something. Anyway, these come up as 'Unknown/unsuported game'.

I bet it needs a list file. I did rename one g_gaia, but got the same message.

Well, it's taking longer than I thought to do these, but here are the working title starting with A or B that I've been able to test.

Tom: no, you need to add XML entries for them, like in Tafoid's post right above here ^^^^ smile

Good to know you're planning to do other Genny drivers as well (as made obvious by this: http://gdri.smspower.org/wiki/index.php/User_talk:Dimitri wink )

Anyways, Tafoid, want to share the XML adding work? Or should I just let you handle this and concentrate on making LST files based on P2612 sets?

To simplify.. at this time only certain games have the possibility of working within the current M1 Driver - those show on this list: LISTED HERE AS GEMS
I'm working as quick as possible to add all that the driver will currently allow smile
