(This may or may not be a dependency but) either YouTube embedding or loading forums.bannister.org up in antiquated browsers within emulation, pick one? laugh

After some bugfixing, the IRIX installer loads off of CD-ROM - then promptly panics. But progress, I guess:

Awesome JD, thanks for giving some love to the SGI drivers :-)

The docs say it can play up to 50fps from RAM, and up to 30fps from ATA Flash card (Sundisk SDP5 series). So, a Bad Apple video should be possible :-)

Well that's a start, at least. It turns out the IRIX 5.3 installer gets unhappy if you don't have an "eaddr" environment variable set.

Of course, it hangs here, so...

The 95LX also has a 8-bit DAC and at least three people have written code to use it, there's source to one of these players: http://www.retroisle.com/others/hp95lx/Utilities/Sound/sndplay.zip by Dave Marsh.

The other two are https://www2.dmst.aueb.gr/dds/sw/palmtop/hpsound/ by Diomidis Spinellis (originally had source code posted as well, in hpsound.tar on long-gone eddie.mit.edu:/distrib/hp95lx archive) and unnamed player by Christian Felique (apparently never posted anywhere).

The eddie archive was mirrored on http://clove.garlic.com/lxarchive/ but that site went down sometime in 2001. Maybe the owner (Bill Childers, http://wildbill.nulldevice.net/) still has a copy somewhere.

S.U.P.E.R. archive has a incomplete mirror at http://www.mizj.com/ (original is at http://www.hp200lx.net/, files seem still to be there but are unreachable because of broken redirector script).

This thread is to show off new drivers, not tell other people how to write programs for them smile

Well, can't show off the driver properly if it can't play Bad Apple :-)
