The newer DLL requires that you call set_info_str with M1_SINF_SET_ROMPATH when you get the MATCHPATH message.

No problem with the dll and xml. Fujix has final say on the lists.

You can bundle lists with your release.
Please keep them up-to-date to avoid duplication of misc works,
include readme files including original credit,
and put a link to the list WIP page: http://www.e2j.net/liststatus.html

Thanks.

I just wanted to ask if there's a chance for an M1 SDK .so version on Linux any time soon smile!? I'm considering to support M1 with QMC2 (SDLMAME build), but as long as there's no SDK support, I'd be restricted to use the M1 executable.

If the latter is the only way to go, would it be possible to a) add an option to get the list of songs for a specific game from M1? And b), it would be nice to be able to directly jump to that song by passing the song number via a command line option. Also, it would be much easier if it were possible to pass the "rompath" via the command line (and not only via m1.ini).

Please correct me, if I'm wrong, but I didn't see any M1 options that would allow me to do any of that.

A last question: why is M1 / the M1 SDK not open source? (Or am I just missing something?) Sorry if this has already been asked / answered before, but I'm new to this and didn't find any info on that question... if it were open source, building a working .so would be no problem at all smile.

Because RB is lazy and doesn't want to clean up the code, yet thinks it should be cleaned up before releasing it. And that the mame license doesn't apply to him somehow.

OTOH, he gives the sources without hesitation to any mamedev or person with a proven clue who asks, so our motivation to be annoying with him is low.

Would love to get the source to contribute to the project and add some unsupported games smile

I'm fairly free and easy with the source if you have some past evidence of not sucking. Audio ripping experience a plus smile

I've got experience, already wrote a couple of emulators (mainly Koyote - NeoGeo Pocket - being "known", the other ones being mostly unreleased stuff).
