It was a long time i saw this topic, and i say it's going pretty good ^^

I even see that the developer of CD-ice is back too. (That's shocking to me)
(Also, i'm the one who did rip Hotel Mario and Zelda CD-i cutscenes, even though all i did was using a decoder program made by opt_fr_ and the jPSXdec to decode XA Audio)

I didn't try CDi MESS yet (mostly because i don't have time to compile it), but i wish some luck ^^

If it's not a bad thing to do, posting stuff like this... there are svn builds of MESS available at http://emu.crimsonrain.com/

Aha, I have an idea about the issue I'm seeing, CD-i Fan: Does Sound Map data at 0x2800 go through the left channel, whereas Sound Map data at 0x3200 goes through the right?

Wow, who made that. That is amazing. smile

Actually, nice job on the CDi, it's nice to see it work in MESS.

That sound amazing. Please post your progress, and findings to a blog. I would be interested to read what you're working on, and how you are implementing things.

I am also tempted to get back into CD-i development.

Technically, no - ABUF_DEC indicates that an empty buffer is available for the CPU to write. But, essentially, correct - both bits indicate a status change that the CPU may want to do something about.

Yes (each bit is cleared when the register containing it is read).
