That will be nice, I never had much luck ripping Jag CDs. Jaguar carts were a lot easier.

There was a recent update to gameboy.xml and gbcolor.xml

http://mess.dorando.at/svn/?rev=10769

I'd like to add a few comments:

Quote:
9 9 Soccer Mania: was it really released as Soccer Mania in Jpn too as nointro claims, or only as Soccer Boy?

Was a mistake and is fixed now - thanks!

Quote:
10 10 Taz-Mania by Sunsoft: was it really released in Europe too as nointro claims? if so, why THQ game has not been titled Taz-Mania 2 like in USA?

It exists but the cartridge title is Tasmanian Devil - Island Chase. The dump is the same as the US Taz-Mania. The 2nd game (Taz-Mania 2) is simply called Taz-Mania in europe. Maybe Island Chase was a late release? Who knows.

Undumped pirate carts:
13 - 4B-003: Sachen 4-in-1 version 3 (Taiwan's Mahjong, Japan's Mahjong, Hong Kong's Mahjong, Store Tris)

are you sure this exists? I never saw v003

18736 <!-- Sachen carts -->
18737
18738 <!-- This should contain Virus Attack, Electron World, Dice, Trouble Zone, but it currently does not work -->
18739 <software name="4in1" supported="no">
18740 <!-- Serial: DMG- - Release Date: - Alt. Title: -->
18741 <description>4 in 1 (Euro, 4B-002)</description>

It works in KiGB - maybe you can get info from the author?

Sachen carts have a "protection" chip inside which fakes the nintendo logo data when the bios is checking that. The rom contains the sachen logo instead of the nintendo logo.

We don't support that chip yet, so the images do not work.

I can't test, but I suppose KiGB doesn't use the bios so the check is never done and the cartridge just works.

Thanks for clarifying the taz-mania issue. I have fixed the corresponding description, to clarify the point!

I had planned to report the Soccer Boy entry at dat-o-matic (like a did with a nicktoon gba proto some time ago), but I got sidetracked by gbcolor and real life.

while on the subject of GB/GBC: any info on The Muppet dumps currently labeled as AX9P and AP9P? where do they come from? is that the serial for the game?

I went with the info from

http://bootleggames.wikia.com/wiki/Sachen

the maintainers are pretty trusted and have a lot of chinese contacts, so that I'd say it almost surely exists, even if it's never been seen

finally, concerning the multicart, we miss the bios handling/bypassing for several pirate mappers (both Chinese and European, e.g. the Rocket Games/Datel cart) as judge pointed out. hence a few games do not work properly...

what are they using? some kind of MCU to provide the data? or are those things really only meant to work with pirate systems without the checks in the first place?
