I can't wait to see Kelloggs VS Capcom on Wikipedia.

Because I never want this to die, I added most of these to Undumped wiki. A few were there already, marked "Does not exist". laugh

There is at least one game on the undumped list, that may be a mis-translation. Nichibutsu "Mahjong Final Parade", like I said in the wiki, I suspect to be a mis-translation of "Mahjong Final Bunny". I hope this can be proven soon.

I should note an additional layer of misinterpretation on THX-DR1122: Synergistic Software did the US "Thexder" ports for Sierra. As far as I know the original version for the NEC PC-88 in Japan was by Game Arts themselves.

What's your basis for this? How could ファイナルバニー possibly come back as "final parade"? All other examples have a basis in transliteration confusion.

At least on my computer, the Japanese letters you posted display as ASCII characters. Getting to the main point, #1 - the games are both same company, year, and hardware: Nichibutsu 1991 mahjong HW. #2 - a list of Nichibutsu games lists "Final Parade", but not "Final Bunny". #3 - despite searching many times, I have never seen proof of "Final Parade" existing, not one screenshot.

Konami "Brain Busters" looks like another mistranslation. It has the same serial number as "Monster Maulers".

I'd buy "Brain Busters" as either yet another region name (maybe UK, a la TMHT?) or a prototype name that ultimately wasn't used. It's a little too descriptive of one of the actual fights in the game to be a simple mistranslation IMO.
