I cannot for the life of me figure out how to record a video with this emulator. My intent is to record some Mega Man 2 gameplay for YouTube and if anyone could give me some advice on where to start recording .avi footage, that would be great. I'm running v1.39 and pretty new to emulator usage.

Cheers. :3

This thread has some info - the very last post gives settings that worked for him.

Thanks for the reply. : )

I've already checked that thread out and it wasn't much use to my issue. Does Nestopia come with built in recording, and if so where do I find it within the emulator? Or should I use a screen capture software?

It's built in, yes. Go to File -> Movie Player -> Record after loading a ROM.

That option literally isn't available to me, as you can see here..

Ah, so simple!
Thanks so much.

As for the compressor settings, quality and data rates.. what should I set them to for optimum quality? Or should I just leave them on default?

Thank you for your time. :3

The compression settings are kind of a dark art - I'd start with the ones the thread I first linked suggested and see how that comes out.
