Hmmm... I use MAMETunes with every new release of MAME without incident (and , I might add, with the 'Easy' settings checked)...

Are you using the latest version of MAMETunes? (4.0.2)?

Are your paths properly set in the 'Preferences' section?

Can you audit a single ROM Set?

Do you need/would you like a set-up guide for MAMETunes?

Oh, right, I did write that, didn't I? blush

I've been meaning to re-write it, but the only major change is import the MAME ROM list as text (and not as XML).

(Hmmm... I wonder what else I've written, and subsequently forgotten about... wink )

Thanks again all!

So.....
I have been able to import the ROMs list (as a text not XML file).
The "ROMs" folder in the main SDLMAME Directory.
But, when I try to audit the ROMs, terminal gives me the following:

MacBookPro-001FF3D0BFC3-3:~ xxxxxxxx$ '/Applications/Games/sdlmame 0142/mame' -verifyroms > '/Applications/Games/sdlmame 0142/MAME_AuditStatus.txt'
dyld: Library not loaded: @executable_path/../Frameworks/SDL.framework/Versions/A/SDL
Referenced from: /Applications/Games/sdlmame 0142/mame
Reason: no suitable image found. Did find:
/Library/Frameworks/SDL.framework/Versions/A/SDL: no matching architecture in universal wrapper
Trace/BPT trap
MacBookPro-001FF3D0BFC3-3:~ xxxxxxxxxx$

Looks like your SDL framework is too old (either you have a PPC version that's not Intel compatible or an early Intel version that's 32-bit while your machine is now 64-bit). Trash your /Library/Frameworks/SDL folder and download and extract the latest as described:

Go to http://www.libsdl.org/ , and click the "SDL 1.2" download link in the sidebar, then scroll down to "Mac OS X" under "Runtime Libraries". Download the "SDL-1.2.14.dmg" disk image and open it.

Click 'Macintosh HD' (or whatever your Mac's hard disk is named) in the left pane of a Finder window, then open the Library folder and drag the SDL.framework folder from the SDL disk image into the 'Frameworks' folder.

My SDL framework was an old version. All works great now w/ the update!

Gotta love this community smile
