Hello!

I'm trying to use the -a800xl in mess.

I'd like to disable the basic (F3 key to do it manually) whenever I start it through the command line.

Is there a switch or is it in the .cfg or an .ini file where I can specify the option?

Thanks for your help,

Yves

How would you do that on a real Atari 800XL?

Well, in general MESS tries to reproduce the hardware at a very high fidelity, warts and all. That means no "convenience features" like other emulators sometimes have.

I believe you need to hold down option at power on to disable basic.
