After I run the "Check ROMS" under the 'Tool' option it lists all my mame ROMS as either correct or mostly correct... even the incorrect ones. I have a complete rom set for 0.148u4 so there should be quite a few incorrect roms shown as well.

I'm running QMC2 0.38 (64 bit). Great frontend by the way.

In case you're using a newer MAME version than 0.148u4 (i.e. latest from SVN), then yes... there are a few ROMs "incorrect" and "not found", and at least here this works fine.

I'm using 0.148u4 and every single 'incorrect' rom shows up as green... all roms show up as green (either correct or mostly correct).

Well, there are probably dependencies with referenced device-sets that are incorrect, and this would render an otherwise "correct" ROM set not working... if that's the case there's nothing wrong with it.

(Also, I'm pretty sure the ROM check works fine.)

Please provide a concrete example if you think it's something else..

BTW, in case you're using (regular) ZIP's and not 7z's, you could use the built-in ROMAlyzer to find out... after analyzing a set, right-click on the top-level item in the report. If there are referenced device sets, the context-menu will offer an "Analyze referenced device-sets" item. I think I've added that function after 0.38, so please use the latest SVN build from yesterday.

EDIT: yes, it's new since 0.39 (see change-log).

Thanks, but still not sure why it is doing that.. 'displaying all incorrect roms as working'

Are they really "incorrect"?

Also, with regard to ROM-states, QMC2 is not deciding on this by itself but interprets the output from -verifyroms... and this would tell me "good" even if a referenced device-set is "bad" (which is the right info but may be confusing).

BTW, I made a small FAQ about this in our wiki.

Thanks for clarifying, that behaviour is normal. Keep up the good work.
