I posted the electronic ROM dump for MW56: www.seanriddle.com/gameandwatch.html

I just have one PCB, so I don't know the LCD segment mapping or how the Game A, Game B, Time, and Mario Up/Down buttons are connected.

The game is functional in MAME(reacts on controls, blips and bleeps) so the dump should be good. =)

There are no scans of the LCD panels, but incog has made scans of the background/foreground:

Here's a preliminary svg that will win the beauty contest:

I should be able to ID the segments, since the game runs very linear/predictably.

Above MW56 links are updated. All segments are identified and the game is playable in MAME. Don't mind the bad quality of the vector gfx, getting the game functional was the main priority. It will be improved when someone can provide a scan with the LCDs powered on. This can be done at ACL, no custom equiment needed.

Al Kossow uploaded 1986_Sharp_MOS_Semiconductor_Data_Book to bitsavers today. It's the oldest Sharp databook scanned, in it are some MCUs that were discontinued in 1990(the next databook). The Soviet KB1013VK-1 clone matches the Sharp SM5A. We now know the which MCU was used in (most) of G&W wide screen games(eg. Mickey Mouse/Egg, Chef, Fire, Octopus).

Sharp SM5A is emulated, and G&W Mickey Mouse(MC-25) is playable now. It's the same game as Nu Pogodi. Here's a low quality but functional .svg: http://tsk-tsk.net/net/temp/gnw_mc25.svg
Igor dumped several other G&W clones a year ago. When he releases those, I can add them to MAME too.

I strongly suspect "Nu, Pogodi!", Nintendo's "Mickey Mouse" and Nintendo's "Egg" all use the same mcu code, but have different lcd screens and bezels.

Nintendo had to change the lcd and branding of "Mickey Mouse" to "Egg" in countries where they did not have a license to the Disney characters. "Nu, Pogodi!" was an unlicensed die clone, but with the lcd characters switched to resemble those of the soviet(later russian) cartoon.

Yeah, the one in MAME is from "Nu, Pogodi!" dumped by Igor. There's a bunch of other games that play the same, in other words: assume same rom. Here's a compilation video(and that's not even all of them!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CHAsa_RBqM
Other known Elektronika G&W clones are: Fire(widescreen), Chef, Octopus. Standalone emulators are sold by Igor: https://itunes.apple.com/ru/developer/igor-rychenkov/id1057108153

correct, according to Igor - soviet Chef, Fire and Octopus is straight G&W clones, each uses its own firmware.
2 more soviet made games - "Auto-slalom" and "Space scouts", both unique FW too.
and the rest - bunch of Egg-like games, all uses same firmware.
