Thanks Chubsta, i'll give it a read. Yeah, my aim I guess is to get as close to the old arcade experience as possible without forking out for a cabinet.

Already got a decent stick and if I can get the display just right I will in nostalgia heaven!

it is worth persevering with - i have had plenty of dedicated cabinets over the years and because the monitors are old and tired i reckon the picture i get on my Mac with the glsl shaders (i use glsl_plain and Lottes_CRT) is better in most cases than it ever was with my 15khz monitors - well worth a go!
