After some time without updates for Ubuntu, Marcelo finally created new packages for Trusty (14.04 LTS) and Vivid (15.04)!

Well, we don't feel responsible for any MAME packages smile... anyway, you've got the answer in the SDLMAME forum.

Yeah, David (our Mac OS X package maintainer) updated his build systems to use Qt 4.8.7 - already in the last version.

Is it getting close to QT5?
Also a QT fork has appeared, who knows what that will bring http://www.copperspice.com/

My plan is to completely move to Qt 5 by the be beginning of next year... this has some pros and cons as always. I hope by then at least *full* Qt 5 replacements for QtScript and QtWebKit will be available, otherwise I may continue to use Qt 4.8 primarily. But there's no way around Qt 5 in the long run... and QMC2 can already be used with Qt 5, only some features aren't ported yet (and will not be available because). The QtQuick 2.0 port of QMC2 Arcade's "ToxicWaste" theme also has some issues... I think that "darkone" mostly works though.
