rfka01: I'd like to add you and whomever you got the APB ROM to the whatsnew but I'm out of town and can't do it. If you post the name of the rom source I'll do it next time unless some one else does it by Wed.

Great, thanks! I'll ask him what he wants to be entered into the driver and let you know

Right - he's comfortable with his real name, Andreas Senk, in the driver.

Carl - thanks for continuing to work on the M20!

I re-downloaded the PCOS images from Chris' site

ftp://ftp.groessler.org/pub/chris/olivetti/m20/diskimages/

to check what's currently working.

He's got some documents on the even more elusive M40, a machine that's included in our M20 driver ... and while the specs look similar, this is an order of magnitude bigger:

http://www.retrocomputing.net/parts/olivetti/m40/

http://silicium.org/site/index.php/32-catalogue/olivetti/145-olivetti-m40

ftp://ftp.groessler.org/pub/chris/olivetti/m40/

Now the semi-compact one on the left is an M30 ... smile

One would be "application keys" for terminal applications. These let you quickly execute commands. It wouldn't be two sets of numbers.

Basic programs work now.

The parity flag was backwards so basic variables could be set but not read.

Very nice fix of an obscure CPU bug smile (And one that would never have been found if we were still only running Pole Position on the Z8000 core!)

Wow nice!

This gets olitest running (from Chris' site)

The options on the top of the display are probably meant to be displayed line by line as that is the way the arrow moves.

I wonder whether there is something still wrong with our disk definitions ... several images from Chris' site boot, but do not load programs from disk, displaying error 92 (command not found).
The PCOS error messages can be found in http://maben.homeip.net/static//S100/olivetti/PCOS/PCOS.pdf

BIOS versions 2.d and 2.f don't boot from any floppy, but display "Disk error 04 on drive 0" ... and and the MSDOS for the alternate processor board isn't recognized as a valid image.

No version of PCOS higher than 2.0f (including 2.0h) will run any programs. I trust the fdc emulation which is quite tested much more than the cpu (as RB says Pole Position is the only working other user) so I'd suspect another cpu bug. The APB floppy is a raw 360K pc image which isn't supported by the M20 driver right now. It'd be easy to do so but until we have the APB rom I don't think we should pretend it'll work.
