Hello Postman,

Very nice that you have gotten in touch, JFMateos and me tried to reach out to you and some other guys to see if you could help with Gamate preservation. But we never got replies to our emails.

I worked with a bunch of talented guys, Morten Shearman Kirkegaard, Juan Felix Mateos, Peter Trauner, Alex Evans and others, over the last year and we managed to break the protection and dump the BIOS along with a bunch of games from my collection.

As for sending those incredibly rare game cards, I totally understand you, before I built my own dumper I was sending my games off to JFMateos in Spain as well for dumping - as I had focused on reading out the embedded BIOS - but one of my rare games C1-069 (Riddle of the Ancient Tomb) actually died during shipment.

I am leaving for a week of vacation with the family tomorrow, but I will send you a dumper when I return on the 28th, just out of curiosity do you run, or can you install a Linux for the dumper software? If not I will have to see if I can compile it for that horribly windows operating system and that might take a while.

I have asked my good friend Morten to subscribe you to our Gamate reverse engineering mailing list and you should hear from him shortly.

I also just got C1-056 (GP Race) in from China the other day I will dump it as soon as I get back.

friggin awesome to get in contact with you.

Cheers, Eddie

Hey Kevtris,

I have 10 Gamate consoles and about 150 game cards.

I will gladly send you a couple to play with once I return from from vacation in a week.

I'll catch you on that freenode IRC channel.

Cheers, Eddie

The SVI-3x8 driver is now in a much better shape then the old one. Recently I've added support for larger cartridges, which allows the "Pre-Release" demo by Five Finger Punch to run in MAME:

This is a bit offtopic but does concern SVN builds.

With the work on luaengine the whole cheat engine and cheat scripts can now be written in lua. That enables the mame-rr
hitbox scripts to run as a regular cheat.

Here's all the sf2 cheats converted for the lua cheat plugin and here's the script for the "on" part of the cheat.
