Ah, gotcha. That page also discusses updating the build tools using pacman. Yeah, we use pacman now for updating between build tool releases (that's the name of the tool, don't blame us, it's not our creation!). Git isn't really built for things like distributing our build tools. There will probably be a new package to get everyone on the same page at some point.

Oh yeah, I remember seeing that now... I read all that before I installed the first time, and then completely forgot about it...

I'm running under Windows, so it's MS pacman, right? <ducks>

Hap- I haven't figured out the correct order yet, but one thing I noticed is that the debugger shows the TMS1700 reset address as 3c0 instead of 1c0. I don't think it matters because the address bus is 1 bit shorter, so 3c0 is an alias for 1c0, but it did throw me for a bit.

Yeah, I left it that way. I assume bit 3 of the page register is still there, but simply not connected to the ROM.
Regarding MAME compile, if compile/linktime is slow, you could do a partial compile. Like this: set SUBTARGET=m set SOURCES=src/mame/drivers/hh_tms1k.cpp,src/mame/drivers/ticalc1x.cpp

Hap- did you ever look into the bug on Ultraman? (Plate 15, 16 and 17 graphics aren't displaying properly).. I never saw an update for that one... And, whoever is working on internal SVG support, nice work! They look great now. Gotta get back into updating those.

Ah, I overlooked that. I don't know the cause of this bug, the SVG object titles look fine so it's something with the emulation.

I played around with that one a couple of years ago. Kevin sent me his 7-bit electronic dump, but I guess I didn't update the files on my page. It was a pain to visually dump because there's so little contrast. The O output PLA isn't set up for 7-segment display, so no hints there. I guess you didn't get any music from any of the R-outputs? That die is interesting because it's the only TMS1000 rev F that I've seen.

Nothing much, hence I suspect it's not an electronic game. It could be a tv, washing machine, etc. =p
