Now that bitsavers has the CPU manual for AT&T WE32000, emulation of 5620 can happen someday...

Someone's working on AT&T 3B2 emulation in SIMH, and there's a (partial?) we32k cpu core -- https://github.com/sethm/simh/tree/master/3B2

Too lazy to port cpu core from SIMH, maybe later once all bugs are found. Still:

A few cpu core bugs later...

This terminal uses its 2681 DUART in a way that neither MAME nor SIMH currently emulates (OPCR is configured to send interrupt status to output port pins). Plus apparently, SIMH has no concept of CPU clock, so I think I'll have to eventually port CPU core into MAME.

simulation is mostly working, I guess now it's time to find out how to actually use this device as intended (with 'layers')...

SimH. The cpu core is still very much WIP, once (or if) it stabilizes I could port it.

First things first, get GEBACA running on it :-)

There is a game, probably ~10 years old, for the AT&T 5620 Dot Mapped Display
Terminal (aka a blitter), called "gebaca"; the acronym stands for "Get Back
At Corporate America". The player must zap various corporate logos; IBM,
MTV, and Bell System logos come to mind. After a certain score, Dobbsheads
start flying around as well.

This is how layers looks with no apps running (not figured out how to run anything yet). Setup menu works with the mouse, though.

Impressive.
Eager to see this in MAME.

Also it is interesting to see "Teletype Corporation" in 1983 when in Jan 82, they actually seized to exist as such (United States v. AT&T)... I guess the brand name was still used for some time.
