@Rfka: comment out the mirror on the NVRAM. Delete the third and fouth (zero) parameter of the RTC memory handlers.

@LN: the soft reset jumps to F4003 in lower BIOS. I have yet to find a difference to the normal (power on) check.

All is done in software. The MHFU or watchdog flag oftenly delivers wrong values and could be responsible.

I need to check if the 8088 acknowledges vertical interrupt requests. Unfortunately there are no good examples with this CPU...

There are some instances (Apollo, Amstrad) where a config statement like

MCFG_CPU_IRQ_ACKNOWLEDGE_DRIVER(amstrad_state,amstrad_cpu_acknowledge_int)

is used. Is this the way to go...? It seems i have overlooked a precondition, cause i cant get the syntax right.

P.S.: i want to mimic the VERT INTR L output from the DC012 display controller which clears (or rearms) the hardware watchdog. smile

Lord Nightmare: crazyc: I don't have access to a vt240 to dump the pals/proms, sorry

I only have a VT320, and the link that I had already posted here earlier,

Hi LN,

looks like we have got the ROM ... it's 23-054E7 in this directory:

http://www.dunnington.u-net.com/public/DECROMs/

and the pcb pic at

http://www.vt100.net/dec/vt320/pcb

shows one ROM.

has changed to http://www.dunnington.info/public/DECROMs/, and one directory level up there's also DECPROMS

No VT240 though which you were after originally ...

We have the vt240 roms (two versions, in fact, of perhaps 3 or 4 total) dumped, but we do not have dumps of the 5 or 6 pals/proms on the pcb itself, which might be required for emulation to work correctly.

Yes, that's right. You have to use set_input_line without a vector and return the vector from the ack function.

Good news.... I have finally obtained the 100A from a friend... I'll try to dump the ROMs when I get time next week.

Wow, that's an impressive lot... if it wasn't that expensive to ship them overseas I'd bid on them. But maybe someone in the US can grab them and ship them over to your place for scanning/dumping? Or to Al Kossow...

$50 for shipping a bunch of disks? That's ridiculous, but unfortunately it's very common for US sellers to ask such amounts to ship overseas.
