$50 + $30 shipping. Hmm, call me cheap, but that sounds expensive to me. You need to consider that a decap may fail, or even that this chip is a custom one(not MCU).
If that risk is ok to you, and of course if Sean wants to decap it, buy it
AMI used part numbers starting with S for standard or C for custom. Their 1979 catalog shows an S2567, but that's a 14-pin chip for an electronic organ.
I'm guessing it's an S2000 MCU, with C2567 representing the custom ROM. If we could get a picture of the solder side of the PCB, we could tell if that's correct.
megocollector.com has pics of 3 different PCBs. I'll ask if he could scan the solder sides, too.
Well, i've brought mine a couple of months ago for about $150 and resold it a month later as i needed $$ to a fellow collector in Texas. And shipping between Canada and United States is pretty expensive (between $50 to $80).
So at $50, it's cheap (for me anyway) for a 40-years old electronic game.

The auction was ended with a "buy it now". No problem then if it doesn't bode well for emulation, it can be simulated until it's emulated one day.

It's at $172 US and still going. At $50 it was a bargain, but who knows...there may be one that will pop-up for dirt cheap. It's only a question of when and how much.

Speaking of LJN, here's a failed product that we don't emulate yet in MAME: There's a bare console one for $20 right now on ebay, if anyone wants to dump it. Or we could do the future generation a favour by making them forget this ever existed?

Sorry, been away for a while... I'm not sure what box this game is in, but I'll put it on my list and keep an eye out for it... I'll be shuffling through boxes a lot in the next couple of weeks, so it'll probably turn up soon...
I got the Canon Multi8 and I Took a Lickin from a Chicken. Unfortunately, this chicken's lickin' days are over But it does have a COP421, so that will be easy to dump.
We still need to do some cop421 debugging to get the apple lisa's system management/keyboard mcu going properly, last I remember it would run off into the weeds pretty quick, but that was a long while ago...
