Nice! smile And potrace(bmp to svg conversion tool) likes it too. See here, before cleanup touches: http://tsk-tsk.net/net/temp/gnw_ml102.svg
I can definitely work from this.

*edit* manual-cleanup done: http://tsk-tsk.net/net/temp/gnw_ml102_v2.svg

Yeah, just kidding. smile I have to say it's really nice to finally see these emulated. Great job so far everyone involved!

Now, it would be nice to see the JR-55 LCD scans get the same treatment. The current svg if very inaccurate (from a low res source I guess?).

This one? http://tsk-tsk.net/net/temp/gnw_jr55.svg
The vector art was created by Reinier ( http://www.boxofchocolates.nl/ ) 16 years ago for a Flash simulator of this game. Aside from thin outlines on the monkeys I think it looks good overall.

Yep, that one. It's missing a lot of details like hair on monkey, tails on the alligator thingies. Eyes. Many objects are very different to my LCDs. In general a lot of details are "rounded off".

It can be improved. But to me, what we have is good enough, not worth hours of work.
I won't stop you(or anyone) making a better .svg though smile

*edit* here's a short how-to:
- save lcd_powered image to bmp, black segments on white background
- adjust brightness/contrast/gamma to get best result
- get potrace http://potrace.sourceforge.net/ , use it like: potrace -s image.bmp

The result image.svg will have gaps and rough edges. These need to be manually cleaned up in inkscape, it's a lot of work.
Oh, and the "PM" and clock digits can be copy-pasted to create 18:88 instead of 12:00. And finally, segments need to have ID(coordinates) in their titles, under object properties in inkscape.

I'm sorry if I came off as demanding anything! I got the impression that what you did with ML-102 was a matter of minutes rather than hours since you were so quick. smile

I could definitely have a go at this if noone else does, but it will be 2 weeks from now. Thanks for the instructions! I could definitely see myself getting lost in manual tracing - that's the kind of OCD that got me here in the first place...

ML102 cleanup was 1.5hr work, my guess is 2-screen games are 3 to 4hrs work. If you're motivated, it's worth a shot.
