Shouldn't the drop shadows (and maybe even the slight transparency for the LCD segments, since they're supposed to be solid black) be handled by shaders?

I updated DM53 SVG with Olivier Galibert's background gfx (changed the dithered patterns to solid).
http://tsk-tsk.net/net/temp/svg/gnw_dm53_top.svg - strange, the hose is gone in Google Chrome's svg view, but is fine in Inkscape and MAME.

When you have the time, and no hurry at all, could you do a version where you keep the patterns?

They're not shadows, they're reflections, and depend on angle(user POV) and lighting. Every layer has it. I think it's better to do it with post-processing(don't ask me how). It would be a PITA to maintain these SVGs if every layer has a hardcoded reflection layer, where every little fix and alignment tweak needs to be copied over.

I fixed the hose in http://tsk-tsk.net/net/temp/svg/gnw_dm53_top.svg
I don't know what was wrong with it, I simply retraced it and now it shows up fine in the browser.

For OG: here's DM53 with the pattern fill segments copied over(top hose is broken again:P)
http://tsk-tsk.net/net/temp/gnw_dm53p_top.svg

It's a matter of opinions I guess. Personally I prefer flat colours.

Nice work Hap. To me, I think that halftones are better. Did you notice some bricks missing in the both top and bottom svgs with pattern fill segments as well? All the light brown bricks from the building are transparent here, with a transparency grid on them.

No missing bricks in Google Chrome here, but i checked with Microsoft Edge and yeah they've gone missing. Weird, since it's just a 1:1 copypaste from http://tsk-tsk.net/net/temp/sarayan_dm-53.svg and honestly I don't know why, same for the missing top hose.

Both yours and this sarayan_dm-53.svg are missing the light brown bricks here in my Chrome. Strange your Chrome showing different results from mine.

You forgot to include a link to http://www.seanriddle.com/zingo.txt smile
Can you double check O5/O6 on Arcade Mania? The game works in MAME with O5 for power, and O6 to button row 1.

Hah- I added the link. Yep, there are separate traces under the first 3 buttons that allow VSS to connect to O5 when pressed. For control inputs, it's O6, O4 and O3. I'll fix the info on my site.

I forgot to mention that the Zing-O PCB is a Kaken, PT-249. All the signals are nicely labeled.

Tandy Zingo is working in MAME, but the shot button is unresponsive sometimes. I can't find any video of it on Youtube. Did you play it before you decapped it? and if so, was the shot button always responsive, or needed to press it multiple times on occasion(as if the button is worn out).

This is the original version btw: http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Misc/AOneArrangeBall.htm
also released by LJN: http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Misc/LJNComputerImpulse.htm
