Thanks a lot for the scans Sean, they are really good! The scratches won't be a problem, I'll do those two soon. But first I would like to see this Mario Bros. case implemented with the current SVG to see if the final result will be acceptable. In which format you guys need me to deliver that MB case to fit it into the emulation?
External SVG isn't supported in MAME, and as I said buttons aren't possible with it anyway. You'll have to go for a high res PNG, the same way bezel/cpanel artwork is done for a lot of arcade games. Stiletto manages the MESS artwork website, let him know when you finished it and he can add it there: https://www.mess.org/artwork
I don't have a DK52, just BJ60 Blackjack and BD62 Bomb Sweeper. Both have 80-pin chips, presumably Sharp SM512. I haven't electronically or visually dumped one of those yet.

I'm praying someday it'll all be lumped in with Mr. Do's collection at http://mrdo.mameworld.info/mame_artwork.php , he does a lot better job of weeding out and replacing the crap artworks with improved versions. We shall see!
Kevtris posted this link the other day on IRC. A technical video about the 1980 Milton Bradley OMNI Entertaintment System, an electronic quiz game. It has two TMS1100. The games are on 8-track tapes, with spoken questions intermixed with data.
Some questions to who did the svg's for Mario Bros:
Is there any way of removing those 'round corner' marks? They are no longer needed since the round corners will be done by the external artwork anyway. This applies to other G&W games as well.
And one final question (this one applies to all games, not only to MarioBros): since the original G&W games have a 'grey' tone in their backgrounds, would it be also possible to have a grey color instead of white as the mais background color?
If these things are simple to fix, I think it would worth doing them to achieve a better overall look.
1) External artwork bezel can overlap the screen element, so just add the round corners to the bezel and line it up. 2) You can either scale the screen element, or crop a few pixels(bezel overlap). 3) I've tried it before, it makes it look oversaturated. Maybe add a grey screen overlay?
Indeed, they are simple fixes, and entirely possible in external artwork.
