Here's a weird issue, let's see if we can come up with a solution for a problem that is ocurring while trying to run some games with the expert11 (MSX clone) system in QMC2:

When I mount a game cartridge called h.e.r.o. (japan).rom through QMC2 file mounting system, the game won't run at all, it stays at the expert11 intro screen and nothing else happens. The screen is the one below:

Our investigation pointed that in QMC2, the software is being treated as loose software rather than a software-list item. This is a Very Bad Idea, because any extra info in the xml will not be passed to MAME (according to Robbert, a MAME developer). ANd by doing this, the game is not working outside a software list, which is bad because unwarned users will have the same issues and will have no clue on how to solve the problem if a game won't work properly.

Could you take a look at it and see if the file mounting system could mount the game file in the same way as the software lists do? Thanks

It might not be a problem, it all depends how RColtrane is using QMC2. Since I don't use it, I cannot tell what the above screen is doing.

Basically, if this screen is for the loading of loose software, then everything is working as I'd expect. But if it's for loading of software-list items, then we have an issue.

QMC2-author, can you tell me what RColtrane is doing?

EDIT: looking at it more closely, I think it is loose software that is being loaded - which means there's nothing wrong with QMC2.
