Yeah, nmbcacidroms looked pretty bad. But the metal one was good, so I verified the ROM against that one instead.

U Can Touch This: http://www.seanriddle.com/mchammer.html

FWIW, I met MC Hammer 14-15 years ago. The small long-distance company I worked for was providing calling cards for his charity. I managed the telephone network, and the calling card platform was my responsibility, so I attended a meeting in case there were any technical questions.

And please add mchammeracidmelody too so it can be verified.

*edit* Can you double check the die serial? I expect N63 instead of M63 (N series being SM511)

I have been hosting my web pages on a server at my house, but I just switched to a commercial web host because I was getting hit pretty hard from time to time. I don't have very good internet service to begin with, and sometimes it was pretty much shut down (especially when Ken Shirriff linked to me!) Migration went pretty well, but I just discovered that the new server is case sensitive whereas the old one wasn't, so I've got some cleanup to do. If anyone gets any 404s, please PM me.

I had some bids out on a few handhelds prior to this whole LCD-Auction-of-Doom thing, and one of them just ended with me as the winning bidder.

Along with the demons with lit-up mouths, the joystick and switches make it stand out from the Konamis and Tigers. From 1985 with 2 batteries and the ACL button, so there's a chance it's got a Sharp SM5.
