Hi,

I have a few roms that are good except for missing a single file and I was wondering if there is anywhere you can find these missing files? -Perhaps in older MAME rom sets?

There's one rom I have (Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory) that's otherwise good (Info window is green and it says its working overall and the graphics & sound are OK), but when I actually try and run it, it says its missing one file named: v0d-.7e (4096 bytes).
I have several other roms with the same problem and it would be nice if there was somewhere to get those missing files.

Even a negative response would be appreciated. Thanks!

That's from the BIOS set, which is shared by all of the games on that hardware system (it loads games from cassette). You need to find a set named "decocass".

Okay, thanks very much. I'll look for that. --It seems to me that should've been in the "decocass.zip" BIOS file that I have in my MAME roms folder, but I checked and it has v0a-.7e and vob-.7e but not the "d" one.

Have you any idea on where else I could find the file?

Thanks again!

MAME ROMs change over time - try Googling for ROMs for the specific version number (e.g. 0.196 for latest).

You know, I really didn't think I had much hope when I posted this topic, but I thought it was worth a try. --But you totally nailed it Mr. Belmont. The 0.196 rom of Peter Pepper's... freaking works!

Thanks a lot man . . . I really appreciate it !

Aloha!
